  • 60 fps at 1080p for most games
  • Plenty of storage
  • No bloatware
  • Keyboard and RGB mouse included
Cons
  • RAM might need upgrading soon
  • Cooling not the greatest

CPU: The iBUYPOWER Element 9260 is a wonderful machine with an Intel Core i7-9700F 3.0 GHz 8-core processor that you can overclock to 4.70 GHz, which will give you additional computer performance within your budget, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB graphics card. The combination sets it up for some prime gaming performance.

Memory: In terms of memory, the Element 9260 is equipped with a 16 GB DDR4 RAM which means you can multitask effectively, access all your files with zero problems, and play without lagging. Also, there are 4 DIMM slots which means you can upgrade the RAM to 64 GB if you want to.

If you find that your system isn’t powering up when you use it for the first time, take a look at the RAM sticks. They might not be sitting well or might be in the wrong slots. Just fix them and you’ll be good to go.

Storage: The PC comes with a 240GB SSD which will not only boot up your system in a flash but will also make for a smooth gaming experience with no hitching. A SATA III HDD of 1 TB gives you great room to store all your files.

Graphics: The dedicated graphics card is VR-ready and has three ports, namely DVI, HDMI, and a Display Port. This GeForce GTX 1660 Ti will play, at maximum graphics, highly demanding games at 1080p 60fps, according to this Quora answer. Of course, if you’re playing low demanding games, then it can give more than double the amount of fps.

Connectivity: In terms of connectivity, it has 4 USB 3.0 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, RJ-45 network ethernet that can transmit at 10/100/1000 Mbps, 802. 11AC Wi-Fi, and a 7. 1 audio channel.

Cooling: It has 4 Addressable RGB fans, the color of which you can change, and multi-monitor support. While these 4 fans will keep your system cool with no problem, they run at 600 rpm. This might not be enough and you might find your system crashing due to not enough cooling in the case. It depends, however, on your usage.

Case: Element 9260 comes with a tempered glass RGB gaming case, 16-color lighting case, a keyboard, and an RGB mouse. The PC has Windows 10 Home (64-bit) and has absolutely no bloatware.

Bottom line: This is a great gaming PC if you’re new to gaming, or if you don’t indulge in highly demanding games. Even if you are a hard-core gamer, this machine will work well for you; but you will need to upgrade the RAM and the fans at some point.

But, all things considered, if you go to build a PC yourself with all the components that this one has, you will end up spending a lot more. This is one great bang for your buck!

Cons
  • RAM might need an upgrade for seriously hard-core gaming

CPU: The Skytech Archangel 3.0 is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 6-Core, 12-Thread, 3.6GHz processor that can boost up to 4.2 GHz for additional computer performance. In addition to that, it has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 6GB graphics card. This machine can give a great gaming experience just as it is if you’re not into gaming that is too hard-core.

Memory: The Archangel 3.0 has an 8 GB DDR4 in terms of memory. Do not let this faze you; you can always upgrade the RAM of your machine as it comes with 3 extra slots and users have managed to upgrade to 32 GB with zero problems. And if you are someone who just needs to run a single game at a time, the 8 GB alone will take care of you. You will face problems, however, if you have multiple tabs and programs opened in the background.

Storage: The machine has a whopping 500 GB SSD, but there is a catch. There is no HDD. And the OS alone takes up a lot of space, which leaves you with a total storage space of around 200 GB. If you use your machine occasionally, this will be good enough for you. If, however, you are a serious gamer, you will need to upgrade to an HDD or a bigger SSD.

Graphics: The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 6GB – 12% faster than the GTX 1060 –  graphics card in the PC is wonderful and will run most of the common games quite efficiently at 60fps, according to a user. You can even run some games at above 100 fps on the highest settings, like Fortnite (148 fps) and Rainbow Six: Siege (112 fps).

Connectivity: In terms of connectivity, the machine has 802.11AC Wi-Fi, three 1.4 Display Ports, three USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, three USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, and one HDMI. Case: In the looks department, the PC does really well. It has a white casing and a clear glass panel. The case is provided with RGB lighting and 3 RGB ring fans. All this RGB will certainly give a great look to your gaming room.

Bottom line: This is a great machine for the price, and you can do well with it for at least a couple of years when you might encounter the need to replace the GPU. It can come up to even your hard-core gaming needs with just a few tweaks, like a RAM and a storage upgrade.

According to the manufacturer, this PC can run World of Warcraft, League of Legends, Grand Theft Auto V, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Roblox, Overwatch, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Battlefield V, Minecraft, The Division 2 and many more games at 1080p and 60fps. Pretty good!

Pros
  • Easy set-up
  • Plenty of USB ports
  • 128-GB SSD - fast bootup
  • 1 TB HDD - plenty of storage space
  • Comes with keyboard and mouse
Cons
  • Might need some upgrades for hard-core gaming
  • Need to unscrew the side panel to access the parts

CPU: This PC by Dell works great for gaming with its Intel Core i7 8700 processor that is 6-core and has a 12 MB cache. It has a speed of 4.6 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost technology.  Paired with the NVIDIA GTX 1060, you can squeeze great gaming performance from this machine.

Memory: It has an 8 GB DDR4 RAM. At 2400 MHz of speed, it might not be what you have in mind exactly but it will not give you any problems since, according to this blogpost by Velocity Micro, RAM speed has next to no effect on gaming. Velocity Micro also says that system RAM is not used while gaming in most cases so 2400 MHz, which is the lowest in DDR4, is good enough.

The RAM is also not a problem because you can upgrade it any time you want. The side of the case comes off with just 2 screws and you can easily replace/add RAM sticks. The model comes with a single Micron 8GB DDR4 stick, instead of 2 smaller 4 GB sticks, so you can simply add more without needing to replace.

Storage: The Dell i5675 has a 128-GB M.2 SATA SSD. This, coupled with the 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA HDD makes for enough storage. The SSD allows the system to boot up very quickly and the Windows opens up in no time at all.

Graphics: The PC is equipped with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, which is a good enough graphics card and can hold its own but is only 3 GB. Should you want to upgrade it, which you might, you’ll just need to keep in mind that the computer has a 450W power supply so you will have to replace the PSU as well.

Also, the graphics card has a fan that vents the air out instead of blowing it around, being a Founder’s Edition. This means you’ll have to take care that you use a similar fan-style GPU when you look for an upgrade.

Connectivity: The model has 4 USB 2.0 ports and 7 USB 3.0 ones. In terms of wireless connectivity, it is equipped with Bluetooth and 802.11ac.

Cooling: The computer is well-managed in the noise department, with its 3 fans being quite noiseless.

Case: The case of this gaming PC is a bit of a drawback if you’re looking for a sleek piece with a  tempered glass side panel. It has a solid build, and only comes with Polar Blue LED lighting.

Bottom line: This is a great PC for the price. It has a fast processor and a GPU that will run most games with no problem. The SSD and HDD give you a lot of space for the system and for a lot of your files, and the 8th generation i7 with M.2 SSD is really nothing to be laughed at.

Specs Recap
  • Processor - Intel Core i7 8700 6-Core 12-thread 4.6GHz, 12MB cache
  • Memory - 8 GB DDR4 2400 MHz - upgradeable
  • Graphics Card - NVIDIA GTX 1060

Pros
  • Case looks epic
  • USB ports on the front as well
  • Well-managed cables
  • Great performance for the price
  • RGB fans
  • SSD storage - fast bootup
Cons
  • Only 500 GB of storage
  • Can get a bit too hot

CPU: This gaming PC by Skytech is almost similar to the one that has been discussed above, the only differing point being the processor. While the earlier-discussed Archangel has a Ryzen 5 3600, this one is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X. This 6-core processor has a processing speed of 3.6 GHz and can go all the way to 4.2 GHz. AMD StoreMi technology will enhance system responsiveness, file management, load times, and boot times.

Memory: This Archangel model has a 16 GB DDR4 memory, with RAM speed of 3000 MHz. This is good enough on its own, especially if you just run a game at a time. However, if you find that you need to upgrade, you can do that quite easily as there are 3 extra slots for all the RAM sticks you might want.

Storage: Just like the Archangel model discussed earlier, this machine has a great big SSD of 500 GB. But that is the only storage you get as there is no HDD. The OS itself takes up a lot of space, which will leave you with a space that is limited enough that you might feel cramped for room. You might need to upgrade if you wish to store a big quantity of large files.

However, an SSD is a lot faster than the traditional HDD, so you’ll have no problems while booting up the system and will have a smooth, fast operation with this machine.

Graphics: The GPU in this system is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 6GB GDDR5. This graphics card is good enough to run almost anything at 60fps. According to Skytech, this PC will play World of Warcraft, League of Legends, Grand Theft Auto V, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Roblox, Overwatch, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Battlefield V, Minecraft, The Division 2, and a lot of others.

This bad boy will play Fortnite Chapter 2 at 173 fps. Swell!

Connectivity: The PC has 2 USB 3.0 ports on the front and 5 in the rear. In addition to that, there is an ethernet port and an HDMI port.

Cooling: The model is provided with 3 RGB fans which will ensure your system doesn’t heat up and crash.

Case: The whole thing has a sleek and modern appeal owing to its Thermaltake H200 TG RGB case which gives a vibrant look to buoy up any gaming set-up.

Bottom line: The PC is great for any gamer, occasional or hard-core. If you’re a serious gamer then you might feel the need to make some upgrades, especially in terms of storage. 500 GB in total of storage space will be a hurdle when it comes to saving big games.

  • ✔ 1 Year Warranty on Parts and Labor |...
Pros
  • Small and compact
  • RGB keyboard and mouse included
  • SSD storage
  • Fast, capacious memory
  • Plenty of ports
Cons
  • WiFi adapter might cause problems

CPU: Skytech Gaming makes the list a third time, and this time it’s the Skytech Legacy Mini. This computer has a Ryzen 7 2700 8-core processor that has a processing power of 3.2 GHz. This can go up to 4.1 GHz on turbo mode. This processor has a fine-tuned memory controller, faster clocking speeds, and a faster cache. What’s not to like?

Memory: Unlike a long list of items discussed above, save one, this model has a 16 GB DDR4 memory with heat spreader. Although a heat spreader isn’t really necessary, especially in DDR4 which doesn’t generate much heat, it is handy to have if you are going to overclock your PC. The RAM speed is 3000 MHz, which is good enough for almost anything. Additionally, there are 2 extra RAM slots for upgrades.

Storage: The Legacy Mini is provided with a 500 GB SSD. This will allow your system to be up and ready to go in a flash. But, as is the case in many others, this PC doesn’t come with an HDD. this means the total storage you have is 500 GB, and your operating system is on that as well. So while your Windows 10 Home (64-bit) will boot up really fast and you’ll be ready to start gaming within literal seconds, you might end up needing to upgrade your storage with an HDD.

Graphics: Again, unlike many of the models discussed above, this one has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 4GB GDDR6. This graphics card is a step above the simple 1660 as it has faster memory, great memory bandwidth, and a higher boost clock.

Connectivity: The PC is provided with 3 Display Ports (Version 1.4) and 1 HDMI port. There are 4 USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, 2 USB 3.0 ones, and 2 USB 2.0 ports.

Cooling: This Skytech comes with three 120mm ring RGB fans to keep your system cool and prevent any unwanted crashes and AMD Wraith Spire cooler to allow overclocking.

Case: Additionally, this model comes with an RGB keyboard, a mouse, and a Win 301 tempered glass case that not only puts everything at easy visibility but also gives quick and easy access to all parts.

Bottom line: This is one great gaming PC. Not only does it have great features, but it is also small enough to fit comfortably on small desks and you can lug it around comfortably to all your LAN parties.

According to Skytech, this PC will run Apex Legends, Fortnite, Overwatch, CS: GO, Battlefield V, Anthem, The Division 2, etc. at 1080p to ultra-resolution with 60+ fps.

The processor is fast, the memory is capacious, the graphics card works great…this is one great, tiny package!

How to choose the best gaming PC under 1000?

Buying anything under a tight budget can be a bit challenging, as it means having to give up on certain things and cutting corners here and there in order to manage everything within your financial limits. And gaming PCs are no exception.

Whether you’re just starting out or are a seasoned gamer, you will want the best machine that you can get your hands on. For example, a gaming PC needs a great graphics card in order to be any good but if you try to get the top-range ones you will go way over your budget What you need to do is ensure that you get a machine that offers the best one within your budget.

When choosing the best gaming PC under 1000, you will need to make sure that you get the best bang for your buck in terms of the following items:

  1. Graphics card
  2. SSD storage
  3. Processor
  4. RAM
  5. Room for upgrades

It’s quite hard to find something which has the best of everything when buying a PC under a budget, so it’s important to note if there’s room for upgrades in the near future.

Conclusion

We have discussed 6 gaming PCs under 1000 that are pretty much all great. But only one can be number one, and that for me is the Element 9260 by iBUYPOWER. It has a great, fast processor that makes a great machine when combined with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB graphics card.

Also, 240 GB of SSD and 1 TB of SATA III HDD is a heady combination of storage that no other product on that list has. It is, simply put, quite wonderful.

What do you look for when buying a prebuilt PC? Or, if you built one instead, what challenges did you face?
